Fred lives in your fruit bowl. It smells the gas fruit gives off as it ripens, cross-checks it against your kitchen's temperature, and warns you on your phone before you lose it. One banana at a time.

You buy fruit with the best intentions. You leave it in the bowl and, before you know it, the banana is brown and the apple has gone mealy.
No es que no te importe. Es que la fruta madura en silencio y no hay forma de saber en qué punto va sin partirla. Fred es esa forma.
Plug it in, give it your WiFi from your phone and scan its QR code: its app opens right away, with nothing to download from an app store and no account to create.
More than 50 fruits, vegetables and herbs, and anything missing you can add by hand. Everything you have, all at once.
It reads ripening gas, temperature and humidity around the clock. It warns you on your phone, with a recipe in your inbox, only when something actually changes.

Everything in your fruit bowl runs its own countdown, sorted by urgency. Whatever is closest to turning always shows up first.
The sensor reads the air around the fruit, so Fred lives in the bowl or leaning against it. If your fruit bowl is nowhere near an outlet, move it. That is the only thing Fred asks of you.
Fred measures around the clock, so it lives plugged in. It comes with a USB-C cable and its own charger, so you never have to lend it yours.
You set it up once, from your phone, in a few minutes, and alerts reach your phone and your inbox. You can read the full instructions (in Spanish) before you reserve your unit.
Built by hand in Chihuahua, in short runs. Every Fred is assembled and tested with real fruit before it ships. This first run is 20 units. Yours goes into the build queue the moment you pay, with nobody else to wait for.
The images are concept renders of a first run still in development. The enclosure design and finishes are subject to change. The electronics and the features described are those of the working prototype.
Trash Panda also makes a home composter that turns your kitchen scraps into soil in fourteen days. See it (in Spanish)
